Katrin Vellrath Katrin Vellrath is a composer, theater musician, producer and musical adviser. Beside her ongoing musical scores for theater, her work comprises compositions for art films, installations, performances, documentaries, advertising and fashion shows. In her compositions for theater she often uses field recordings, generates sounds through found material and mixes them with voices, electronic and analog instruments. Since 2015 she has been writing compositions for voices. She also studied dramatics, sociology, educational studies and musicology in Berlin.

Compositions inter alia for Mozarteum Salzburg, Schauspiel Essen, Staatstheater Kassel, Staatstheater Nürnberg and Volksbühne Berlin. Performances / compositions inter alia at Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle Warsaw, Exile Gallery, Gavin Brown´s Enterprise, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Neugerriemschneider,  saasfee*, Schinkel Pavillon. Collaborations – among others – with Schirin Khodadadian, Trevor Lee Larson, Dennis Loesch, Antje Majewski, Ingo Niermann, Rebecca Riedel, Jan-Christoph Wolter, Elisabeth Wood and Vizma Zvaigzne. Member and appearances as part of the pop duo Milch (1997-2002) and Arises (2008-2013).
